Grew a pretty good mustache this last summer. Maybe this summer I'll try to beat that.

Table Progress
During the summer we were working in the mountains above Cedar City and my boss cut down a tree that was 50+ inches in diameter, so I cut a piece of it out to make a table out of it. This just shows the progress so far. The piece isn't as big as it was when I cut it due to shrinking and had to cut out some of it because of cracks but still fairly big. The piece in the middle is walnut that I'm going to use for contrasting color. The part on the right hasn't been planed on the top side yet so that is why it is colored differently. The shoe is just to show proportion. Its a size 10.

Ok I thought that the last link I put up was going to be the last one but I was asked to change a couple things so this is the final draft though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLitE8Em0YI

Well
So its nearing one whole year since my last post so I thought that I would do a short update just in case someone actually will read this. Another fire season successfully finished, without any mishaps like last year. This season was a quite a bit slower than the previous seasons, but it was good none the less. I moved to SLC a few months ago and am enjoying it up here. I bought a 1969 Ford Bronco, so now I have 3 vehicles for just me. Anyway, I made another crew video for 2009 and it is up on youtube. The link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWNbjQUtldc or you can search 2009 UFRA fire season. I'm probably going to upload an updated version in the not too distant future.
Well that is the quick and dirty. Hopefully I will do better at posting.

Happy New Year!
Well I hope everyone had a great new year. Mine was pretty good. I went and saw Royal Crown Revue which is a big band style band. I wasn't expecting to spend my new years at a big band concert but it was a lot of fun anyway. I wish that I would have come prepared for it though, i.e. a date and prepared to swing dance (which means I would have to learn). Anyway, all in all it was a good show and the drunks and crazy people were very entertaining.
Good fortune in the coming year!!
